On May 12th, 2023: The Dripping Springs Station of the North Hays County Fire Department responded to a 4-alarm structure fire at 123 Main Street in Dripping Springs, TX. Upon arrival, heavy smoke and flames were visible from the structure, and the incident was escalated to a 4-alarm response.
RESPONSE: 32 PERSONNEL / 12 APPARATUS / 3 AGENCIES
A total of 32 firefighters and 12 apparatus were deployed to the scene, including 6 ambulances for medical support. Firefighters worked diligently to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
DAMAGE: NO INJURIES REPORTED
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to any civilians or firefighters during the incident. After several hours of intense firefighting efforts, the flames were finally extinguished.
CAUSE: UNSUPERVISED FLAME
Fire investigators determined the cause of the fire was due an unsupervised incense device left in an unoccupied bedroom. We remind everyone to never leave candles unattended, and always keep them away from flammable materials. Additionally, we would like to remind everyone of the importance of having working smoke detectors and an evacuation plan in case of an emergency.
